Daisies Kindergarten

Under the Regulations of Care Act (2001), the Care Commission was formed in 2002.  The Care Commission have 6 key principles, which make up their standards.  Daisies aim to follow, respect and adhere to these at all times. 

• We aim to provide quality childcare for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring that the individual needs of each child are met.
• We aim to provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment for all.
• We aim to provide a stimulating learning environment, offering a range of resources to suit the ages of our children.
• We offer a curriculum for our 3-5 year old children that complies with local and national guidelines.
• We will encourage the children to be actively involved in their own personal health and hygiene.
• In accordance with national guidelines, we believe that each child should eat 5 fruit and vegetable portions per day.  With this in mind, we provide 5 portions during each full-time session, and 3 portions during each part-time session.
• We aim to involve parents/carers with their child's progress and development.
• The nursery will play an active part in the community and liase with local organisations.
• We will treat all individuals with dignity and respect, and value all ethnic backgrounds, languages, cultures and faiths.
• We will evaluate our staff on a regular basis to ensure children receive the highest possible standards of care.  Prospective employees go through a rigorous interview process to ensure suitability for the position.
